Welcome to East Coast Pro Painting, where Tom and Pantea Umrysz, co-owners with a passion for craftsmanship, bring an abundance of experience and fresh perspective to the world of painting. Inspired by his farming roots, Tom founded the company after realizing his true calling lay outside the corporate world. As co-owner, he manages all aspects of production management.
Tom’s journey into entrepreneurship was shaped by his upbringing on a family farm and further refined through his education. Tom graduated from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, with a degree in Finance. Armed with both hands-on experience and academic knowledge, Tom is dedicated to delivering top-notch quality and service.
Pantea, with over 20 years in the industry, leads East Coast Pro Painting with a commitment to integrity and exceptional customer service. Responsible for day-to-day operations and business development, she’s also the go-to expert for choosing the perfect colors. Originally from San Diego, Pantea studied Political Science at U.C.L.A.
This dynamic duo, married with two children and a furry friend, are not only dedicated to their business but deeply involved in their community. Beyond their roles at East Coast Pro Painting, Tom serves on the board as the New London County Director of the Connecticut Christmas Tree Growers Association (C.C.T.G.A.) and contributes to the Town of Groton Representative Town Meeting (R.T.M.), while Pantea serves on the Economic Development Commission and mentors for Groton Public Schools. Together, they’re not just business owners – they’re a family committed to creating beautiful spaces and fostering community growth.
